I recently did a long distance auto purchase a few days ago. The process wasn’t that much more painful than a local used car buy, and I got the exact car that I wanted with the correct color. Either way, I had to hire a mechanic to check out the used car. However, I did have to buy a plane ticket and drive the car long distance back home, but getting the exact vehicle I wanted was worth the extra hassle. Of course I could have had it shipped back home to avoid the plane ticket, but driving it back myself was the cheapest way.
