Getting Traffic to Your Site

I recently started reading up on internet marketing because I want to start my own website but need to learn all I can before I do.  I don’t really know anything about internet marketing other than google page rank can directly affect the amount of traffic that goes to the site. In my searching I found a great site that teaches you everything you need to know about marketing a site and all the tools available.  Now that I have finally started my site I know that everything I have learned about marketing tools will ensure that I get a lot of traffic.
