Duvet? What’s That?

I remember the first time I heard the word Duvet. I was wondering to myself, what in the world is a duvet? Finally someone told me it’s just a fancy way of saying comforter. However this isn’t quite true. A duvet is a specific type of comforter that finds its origins in France. The name comes from the french word for “bag”. The first duvets were simply bags filled with downs or feathers. They were then used as blankets. They spread throughout Europe and are found all over the world today. Much hasn’t changed in duvet technology over the years, and that’s because they work! They do a wonderful job of keeping you warm at night, and fortunately come in a number of styles to match whatever bedding you may have. So now you know!
