I never thought I would be a teacher, but I have learned that being a mother makes you a teacher. My son was falling more and more behind in reading. He would get upset at home because he wanted to play and not practice his sight or spelling words. Everything was becoming such a fight and that is when I found myself becoming a teacher. To be exact, a reading teacher. I ordered us a phonics program where I could help him develop his reading skills and become more confident. Now he is ahead in his class and he begs to buy a new book every time we go to the store.
