When I got engaged, I wanted to elope rather than have a big wedding. My husband did not agree with the idea, because he had a big family and he wanted them all to be able to enjoy his special day. So, I sucked it up and started to plan for the wedding. I am terrible at this sort of thing and I was delighted when his mother offered to help me. She ordered some beautiful wedding chair sashes to be used on the chairs at the reception. I am glad that she knew what she was doing, because I did not have a clue.
