Email, cell phones, instant messeanger and video conferencing all things make us better connected to each other. But there is a danger. If I spend my day jumping from my tasks to these and back again I will find that noting gets done. Using time efficiently requires me to sit down and work and take a look at the communication stuff later. If I turn off the email notifier and the phone’s ringer while I am in the middle of the task I will find that it gets completed a lot faster freeing me up to spend more time on email and chat later!
