When it comes to creating backlinks, I get asked all the time whether sites that I create or get backlinks from need to be relevant to my niche ‘money site’ or not. Over the past year and a half of extensive testing on backlinks (and getting many Page 1 results and #1 results) to my 50+ portfolio of sites, I can categorically state that the places where you get your links from need not have any relevancy to your niche whatsoever. In fact, I am constantly astonished by the constant claims by many respectable SEO experts and Internet Marketers that relevant backlinks matter. Do they make any difference? Not a bit.
