Population boost

Finding some taupo luxury accommodation during the Christmas holidays can always be a bit of a challenge so this time I was well prepared and made sure I booked a place well in advance. It’s amazing that this little town which normally has a rather modest population can suddenly turn into a slightly chaotic holiday destination. A couple of years ago we got caught out by not booking early enough and we nearly missed out on having a place to stay. I still find it crazy that the town has a huge number of hotels and motels yet they can all be fully booked out.
