In the summer of 1980, the first bilateral agreement for working and traveling (has been Work and Travel) Between Japan and Australia concluded. The so-called Working Holiday visas allowed to stay young and young people with Japanese and Australian nationals aged 18 to 30 years for one years in the selected country and yet be within certain limits in the other partner country in paid work accept by US Work Visa. This Pilot Agreement between Japan and Australia developed very successfully, so the example was followed by many other countries: Now all young people with German citizenship in Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand to work and travel with the WHV.
